Quality and Originality are what drives Aroma Waves
Aroma Waves is a small business that produces most products here on
Cape Cod.  The aim is to create products that have the highest quality
natural ingredients and that which reflect a local spirit.

Interest in the Environment &
Human Welfare
Aroma Waves prefers to purchase ingredients from wholesalers who
participate in Fair Trade, encourage responsible ecological practices
and sustainable agriculture. Aroma Waves believes in responsible
consumerism and has a business partnership with Trees for the Future.
Every time you purchase a product from Aroma Waves, you have paid
to plant a tree. Since 1988, Trees for the Future has helped thousands of
communities in Central America, Africa, and Asia improve their livelihoods
and their environment by planting nearly 50 million trees. Trees for the
Future calculates that these trees remove approximately one million tons
of CO2 from the atmosphere each year.

Let’s Be Very Clear on the Term “Natural”

It is difficult to know what is actually “natural” these days.  A stroll down
the aisle at your nearest pharmacy would have you believe that nearly
every body care product on the market grows on a tree.  But still many
of these products have a large percentage of synthetic components to
them.  Aroma Waves is always honest about product ingredients.

First, all products are paraben and sulphate-free. If any synthetic
preservatives are used, they are at the barest minimum. Products with a
water content contain small amounts (total 0.5%) of safe and nontoxic
synthetic preservative (a combination of Phenoxyethynol and
Tetrasodium EDTA). Products that have water content but are without a
reliable preservative always have a potential for bacterial growth,
making a dependable preservative necessary if we are to make these
products safe and available for sale. Aroma Waves wants to minimize or
eliminate synthetic chemicals as much as possible, but we believe that
we must be sensible about it at the same time.  We assure you that all
other preservatives and ingredients are natural (meaning coming from a
source in the natural world) and products produced without a water
phase have only natural, non-synthetic preservatives and ingredients.

You will never see any synthetic fragrance listed in any of our in-
gredients; Aroma Waves uses only the real thing, which are pure,
unadulterated, and of the highest therapeutic grade essential oils for
optimal benefits.

It is important to know what you are putting into and onto your body, so

Cape Cod Skin Care Line is available

Sonja Sheasley, M.A., grew up on Cape Cod.  She has been studying Aromatherapy
since 2006 when she enrolled in a course at the Sandwich Village Herb Shop with
Linda Patterson, Founder of the Eclectic Institute of Aromatherapy and Herbal
Studies. Using essential oils and creating quality healing products has become her
passion, and has led her to continue her studies in Aromatherapy while exploring its
close companion, Herbalism.  Sonja is also a teacher here on the Cape, and a proud
wife and mother of two young boys.
HOW I FELL IN LOVE WITH
AROMATHERAPY
I spent a short time at a  holistic
health retreat two years ago for
stress reduction.   At this retreat,
on the gorgeous island of
Martha's Vineyard, essential oils
were continuously diffused in
each room to promote
relaxation and tranquility. I
meditated, slept, bathed and
relaxed while wrapped in their
therapeutic  healing power.
Had they not included this
element of healing at the retreat
I am certain that my experience
would not have been as
profoundly beneficial as it was.  I
left there wanting to use
Aromatherapy in my daily life
and to learn as much as possible
about this healing art.   I found a
wonderful teacher, Linda
Patterson, who is a talented and
knowledgeable Aromatherapist,
Herbalist, and more. She is also
the founder of The Eclectic
Institute of Aromatherapy and
Herbal Studies.  From Linda I
received a classical education
in Aromatherapy and I learned
the European method of
blending essential oils. I have
been a Certified Aromatherapist
since November of 2006 and
plan to continue my studies in
Aromatherapy.  As I incorporate
more and more natural
modalities into my life, I am
motivated to share what I am
learning. Passing this information
on is necessary and important
and I look forward to teaching
what I learn to my children.
Most importantly, I enjoy the
feeling of empowerment I
increasingly feel over what I use
to heal my body, whether that is
for emotional healing, for minor
physical healing, or just to restore
beautiful skin...all  using what I
make myself.  I get great joy in
creating natural products.  I am
happy to share them with you
and hope you enjoy what
Aroma Waves has to offer.
